Thespian Festival
in Corpus
Christi
The
LHHS
chapter of
International
Thespian
Society
is
headed
to
Corpus
Christi
from
11/19-11/21.
While in Corpus, the
group
will perform their
Christmas
play,
as
well
as
partake
in
Theatre
workshops
at the
convention.
To
be
eligible
to
attend
the
trip,
students
must
be
a member of ITS,
be in
Theatre
II-IV or
Tech
Theatre
II-IV, and have
paid a
deposit for the
trip
costs.
Mr.
Stephens and Mr. Bogner
will be
chaperoning
the
group of
15.

THEATRE
III-IV:
Is
rehearsing
the
Christmas
play,
Mrs. Bob
Cratchit's
Wild
Christmas
Binge,
which
will be
presented
at
Thespian
Festival
in
Corpus
Christi next week
.
THEATRE
II: Is studying the Meisner
Technique and applying it to scenework by
playwrights James McLure,
Terrence McNally,
David
Ives, Tom Griffin and Mike
Allegra.
THEATRE
I:
Is
studying
Costume
Design and
mocking
up a
costume
plot.
TECH
THEATRE:
Is
putting
the
finishing touches on
lights,
sound
and
set
for the
musical,
Beauty
and
the
Beast.
Theatre
II
Presents
Shakespeare
Theatre II
students led
a
Shakespeare
workshop
to English
classes
on 9/29
and
9/30. The
workshops included how
pantomime and movement
can help Shakespeare
come to life, as well as
the structure and
poetic
devices Shakespeare
utilized
in
his
sonnets.
