Little Shop of Horrors is
currently in rehearsal. For complete cast list and rehearsal

UIL One Act Play
Auditions
Auditions for Playing for Time will be held
December 15 at 4:15 in Aud B. The play will be going to the
annual Texas OAP competition in the spring. All auditionees
should have a one minute memorized monologue prepared, and
bring a headshot and theatrical resume.
Theatre I
(Bogner): Students will
be presenting their own original Costume Plots
from No Exit, a one act play by French existentialist
Jean Paul Sartre. Afterwards, they will begin an Acting
Characterization unit, which focuses on some of the basics of
character development.
Theatre I
(Stephens): For the first semester, Mr. Stephens Theatre I
students are learning basics of technical theatre, such as set
construction.
Theatre II
(Bogner): Students are learning an acting technique
of Body Mask Characterization, which focuses on getting
performers to make extreme physical choices in their acting.
The training, which is based on theories of Constantin Stanislavsky
& Rudolf Laban, will be applied to a solo artistic
performance of each student's
own daydreams.
Technical Theatre
(Stephens): Construction is taking
place for musical.
Christmas
Festivities
Mr. Stephens' & Mr. Bogner's
advanced acting classes will be taking part in an annual
Christmas gift exchange.
For Bogner's classes, they're doing
it up Chinese gift exchange style. Gifts may not be valued at more
than $10. Each student who wishes to participate in the
exchange is asked to bring one gift. The party will happen
Thursday 12/18 during class time. (You'd better be honing your
skills at "Spoons", b/c this time, the game will
be cut-throat!)
For Stephens', the exchange will likely
take place at Picasso's Grill on Skillman & Walnut Hill.
